As promised, a couple of quick bathroom pics of the dress-in-progress from my fitting. You can see that there's some wrinkling at the back under the arm and at the waist, but I'm thinking that the waist wrinkling should go away once a skirt is attached and if I have my petticoats and rump a bit higher up.


Left to do: sew tops of sleeves and shoulder straps, hem sleeves, pleat and attach skirt, hem skirt, finish bodice at waist.

I think it needs taking in a bit in the bodice seam and maybe even raising the bottom of the armscye just a touch, but I'm not going to bother with it on this version. The skirt should get rid of the waist wrinkles because part of the wrinkling is caused by the bodice being too long because of the seam allowance. And thanks!

Those pesky waist wrinkles from SA. And then you add the skirt ad suddenly its' short-waisted and you wonder about your life choices.
