Hoorah! Got my shoes and my fabric. The shoes are white satin with closed toes and straps. They're really cool and look retro '20s-ish. And it only took like 50 gazillion shoe stores before finding them. : ) The fabric is... SILK. Dupioni silk to be exact in a kind of plummy colour. The threads are burgandy one way and sort of fuschia-y the other way. Warp and weft and all that jazz. The only think silk that I have ever had were two shirts that were sand-washed silk and hand-me-downs from my brother. I'm so excited now. And we got the last of the bolt. It was just enough. I love that Fabricland. The one near my house makes me angry, but this one that's like 1/2 an hour away always seems to carry just what I'm looking for. I wish it didn't sometimes because it makes me want to spend money and I have all these plans, about three hundred billion, of dresses and clothing I'd like to make and of course I can't.
Only other thing that has happened lately is grocery shopping and last night's party. That was interesting. When I got to the house nobody was there and my brother just dropped me off without waiting to see if I got in. However, luckily, there was a sign on the door that said, "Went to got pick up some people. Door isn't locked." I took that to mean I could go in, so I did. Watched some Tv and was VERY glad when someone else showed up. It was pretty fun. One of my friends gave some others money to buy his alcohol and, since almost everyone seems to hate him, someone peed in his Jack Daniels but since he wasn't there yet he didn't know. So later he walks into the living room and half of the bottle is gone. They got him to chug the other half. To summarise: He chugged a full bottle of JD and piss. Gross. The lesson here is: Never let other people be alone with your alcohol.
