Sewing Stuff

I did my second mock-up today. Whereas the other one was only pinned this one was sewn. It fits pretty well. There's some wrinkling in the back which I think is due to: 1. Not enough lacing holes. I didn't really want to put in all of them just for the mock-up and it was easier this way. 2. No sort of stiffening like cording which I plan to put in the actual one.
Here are the links to the pics:

Yes, it is laced up with string. I didn't feel like chopping off some ribbon or searching for a cord or something. The straps are tied with grosgrain ribbon, a small piece of which I found lying around. After making this and trying it on and all I decided to make a few adjustments. I thinned the straps a little and lowered the front neckline. It wasn't sitting right and when I took a bit off the top it looked better. Other adjustments I made were to take in the centre and to narrow the hips quite a bit. I also added some width since I'm not nearly as skinny as the pattern. Once again, the pattern is at koshka_the_cat.com. Next step is to buy the good fabric and other notions.
