We had to put our dog to sleep on Monday, January 15. Thinking about it gets me down, so I don't really want to write about it. Suffice to say, I haven't felt like doing much since.

Lately though, I have been trying to keep busy. I think that this weekend I am going to start work on my 18th century stays again. I have been drawing in the channels for boning. My friend also wants me to make her a pair and she was supposed to call me earlier this week, but didn't, so I'm not too sure what's going on with that. Watching Jane Eyre really made me want to sew. Well, to sew early Victorian stuff, but I can't work on that until I finish sewing the stuff that I already have the supplies for. Thus it is the 18th century for me.

Most exciting news is that the Costume Museum of Canada is moving from it's location in a small town in my province, to downtown in my city. Hooray! I am very excited, even though it's not supposed to be reopening until spring, and knowing how these things work it will probably be later than that. They have one of 6 authenticated table napkins from the household of Queen Elizabeth I from about 1570. They also have clothes from 1700s on. Maybe I'll be able to volunteer or work there. How amazing would that be?!
