We're doing Hamlet in English right now. Poor Ophelia. Watching two movie versions. The one with Mel and the other with Kenneth Branagh. I prefer the latter. Although I think Helena Bonham Carter is a better Ophelia than Kate Winslet. I had no idea that both were in so many different movies. It's strange to see the casts in Shakespeare movies because they are usually star-studded. The one for Twelfth Night has Keanu, Helena, Toby Keith, and I think Denzel. I like seeing the Brits in those movies. For that matter I like seeing the Brits in any movies. Especially when they make it big afterwards like Keira Knightly because then I can say to myself, "I knew that person WAY before. They were on Masterpiece Theatre all the time." It's neat how so many British actors/actresses are on the big screen now or will be in the near future. British actors just seem different from North American actors. Maybe they spend more time on the stage or doing classical-type stuff. Who knows. In Art class our upcoming assignment is a social commentary piece. I think mine is going to involve either a garbage can or a toilet. However, the toilet would be difficult to obtain so I think it's going to be the garbage. See the commentary is how our society has become a cultural toilet. No longer do we know the works or names of the old greats. And I think that our increasing ignorance is sad.

Not much has been going on lately. Yesterday went to the last school dance of the year. The theme was Mardi Gras. It was alright. The best part was when they played Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and Metallica "Enter Sandman" and my friends and I started jumping around and moshing. It totally beat all that hiphop crap they played the rest of the time. Not that I really have anything against hiphop, it's just that it's all music from the past year, of which I have been a fan of almost none. And dance music really isn't my thing. It was cool when they played Ace of Base "I Saw the Sign". Ah memories from when I was like 10. Afterwards it was Timmy Horton's to pick up some friends and then off to McDicks. Good times.

The weather is super nice. I sat outside today reading and eating carrots. It was so relaxing and wonderful just to feel the sun on my face. What a great way to begin the weekend. No plans for tonight but tomorrow should be good. During the day going to some graduation party for someone who is graduating from university. Then at night a party at my friend's. Should be fun.
