Yay! My Friends Page seems back to normal suddenly: the old version that I like. :) Everyone's colour-coded, so I know who is posting right away without having to look at the icon or name.

When you add someone as a friend, there's an option to select colours for their background and name. In the old version of LJ it appears in those colours on the left side of the Friends feed. You can also do it in the Manage Friends section at the bottom of the page (also old version) by putting in the person's name and picking the colours. Makes it fun. :)

I don't know if it will work on everyone's journals, like if you are using a template or something. Mine's only the default old LJ. But yeah, see if it works for you!

Might not - I'm using an old style (component I think?) and it shows me my f-list in the journal style...

I like it because I like having the text boxes on the left - I like having a box to track what I did this year sewing-wise and all that!

Also, it's like a weird not-liking-change thing with me. I usually stick with the same computer backgrounds and stuff too! :-)

(It took a while to embrace the Facebook changing of profile and cover pics as well, but now I'm at least ok with that!)

Yeah, it's definitely a good format! I also don't really like change. I pick something because I like how it is, so when it changes, usually it's not an improvement for me, otherwise I would have picked something else to begin with. ;p

Exactly! I'm glad someone else understands that! :-) I still miss Apple OS9! ;-)

I've really tried to let go of that because it's impossible to control with social media and computers - I've let go of so many formats and tools and efficient ways of doing things. It's still hard though! :-)
