Feb. 5th, 2009 04:42 pmWoohoo! My book, Corsets: Historical Patterns and Techniques by Jill Salen, has just shipped. It's expected to arrive right before my birthday. Won't that be a nice present? :)
In other news, I have been pretty bogged down with the whole school thing. But my classes are interesting and not too much work, just a sort of steady stream of work that I need to keep on top of. I'm done working for a while so I can concentrate on school, but my job was a very positive experience and it was nice to have a little bit of extra money around. I also met a really great person there, so it was nice to make a new friend who is just as odd as I am. I plan on visiting my friend in Toronto as well in a couple weeks. There I can also see the Royal Ontario Museum (which does have a costume department), the Bata Shoe Museum, and the Fashion District. That should be a good time. Lots of pictures will be taken, I'm sure. Well, if they're allowed. I guess that's about it for now. No, wait it's not.
We also got a new computer because our old one died. My uncle (who is our computer guy) was luckily able to retrieve most of the stuff from the old computer, which was fabulous. The new computer is all shiney and black and quiet. And since the USB port is located in the front, not the back like the old one, expect more pictures with updates. Yes, I know I've been promising those for quite some time, but now it's all convenient to do. Our new monitor is also HUGE. It's like a high def. T.V. screen here. Fantastic!
