USA Here I Come!

So at university here, we don't get Spring Break. Instead, we have what is called Reading Week. Same deal, just happens in late February instead of actual spring. The reason I bring this up is because my boyfriend and I are going to take a Reading Week trip down to New York and then drive up through Connecticut to Boston. Since so many people on my friends list are from that general area or have traveled around there, I am asking if you have any tips, ideas, or suggestions about things to do or see. I know that you'll have lots of great ideas. Thanks!

Boston area:
-Museum of Fine Arts downtown (the Art of the Americas wing is wonderful)
-Peabody Museum at Harvard in Cambridge (they have these cool glass flowers)
-John Adams House in Quincy (actually three houses, the birthplaces of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, plus the house John Adams lived in during retirement)
-Longfellow House in Cambridge (nice period house, obviously where the poet HW Longfellow lived)
-Gore Place in Waltham (early 1800s period house)
-Sewfisticated Fabrics (awesome discount fabric store, they have locations in Cambridge and Framingham)

Thanks for all the awesome suggestions Gloria! Makes me wish I could have more than two days there. I will definitely be going to a couple of the places you mention. :)
