Hey look, a puppy!

Well, actually a full-grown dog. But she still looks like a puppy to me. This picture of our dog is in lieu of sewing pictures. (Unfortunately, she is not as helpful in sewing as other people's feline sewing assistants.) Although I have been doing sewing lately, I don't have any pictures to prove it. The dress is currently in pieces that are slowly being assembled. Emphasis on slowly, because I will have to re-cut the front bodice pieces for the fourth time today. The first time the sewing machine needle put a run in the fabric of one of the pieces, the next was because the fabric was bunching funnily because of the way I had cut it, and this last time is because part of it ended up being magically too small after gathering. Fourth time's the charm, I hope. However, not everything is this difficult, because I actually did a mock-up this time and it looks pretty darn good. If I could just wear the lining instead of putting fashion fabric over it, I'd be in business. ;)

Look, a doggie! You can't see it but she actually has a white chin and a white spot on her chest. Her name is Pistol.
