Halloween costume progress

mala_14My Wednesday costume is now mostly cut out. It occurs to me while typing this that I forgot to cut a facing for the neck to attach the collar. Darn! I don't have much fabric left either, so maybe just some narrow bias strips, possibly pieced to finish of the inside collar. Ok, so I still need to do that and cut out the parts that are white (collar and cuffs). Not too bad. The fact that there are so few pieces makes it easier. I modified a 1963 shirt dress pattern. It originally had a waist seam, but I got rid of it in favour of princess seams. I'm excited about this costume because I have two occasions to wear it to, so it'll get lots of use this year.
