Life stuff

mala_14So since school ended, my life has been a roller coaster. There's some stuff with boys, which is always interesting. Living the single life is quite an adventure. My family stuff has also been nuts. My brother had to go to the hospital and it turns out he needs a new kidney. My mom was also pretty sick for a bit. That was June. My uncle just died this past week, but he's been really sick for a while with a heart condition and the doctors had only given him a few more months, but he lived several years longer. This was a big shock for my grandfather and he had a minor heart attack so he had to go into the hospital. It sounds like a lot, but it doesn't feel that terrible. My brother, mom, and grandfather are all pretty alright now and back at home. And the bad stuff has had a pretty healthy dose of good stuff in between.
The good stuff: our softball team has been playing well, and our wins are greater than all our other seasons combined. I went out to my friend's cabin (as we do every year) and it was a lot of fun with a few crazy dance parties and great food. I made myself a sundress which is pretty darn cute (even though it took me three tries to get it right). My plants are doing fairly well. The roses keep blooming and the tomatoes are getting red and the herbs have started to really grow. And lastly, I just bought a silk dress. And it was on sale for $78 after taxes. I needed a new dress for my friend's wedding social (because I'm in the wedding party) and another friend's wedding next year. (Wedding Social: something that only our province seems to have. It's like a party at a community centre and people buy tickets to go and then buy silent auction tickets there and there's food and booze and dancing. Like a big party to raise money for the couple. So Much Fun.) So some pictures of all that should be forthcoming sometime in the not too distant future. Kinda busy with things like work and wedding stuff and softball and family stuff. But hopefully pictures. I mean it. :)

Date: 2009-08-01 06:29 pm (UTC)I should probably add that my tomatoes are only cherry tomatoes, so they probably ripen faster than regular ones. And they were babied when I started them because I had to keep them inside because we had snow until May. :p
