Time to get busy

mala_14I'm helping throw an engagement party for my friend today. So I've been very busy. Yesterday we decorated the house. It's a western/autumn/engagement theme, which was a little odd to do, but it looks pretty good. She plans on getting married somewhere called The Hitching Post, and she's having a country theme and it'll be in autumn so she wants to use those kind of colours, thus the mixture of themes. I made a bunch of food: ham tortilla rolls, quiche, and brownies. Should be a tasty time. The bride's mom is an awesome cook and bringing taco dip and a chili-cheese dip. So excited to try them.
In other news, I just noticed that I really only have three full days to work on my Halloween costume, and that includes today. So maybe I should stop wasting time and get on that. Unfortunately we currently have a newspaper strike so I don't have any newspaper to draw my patterns up on. I should get my mom to bring some home from school. Now there's a clever plan. :)
