Holiday Sewing
At my boyfriend's house they have a small tree that only has angel ornaments on it. So as part of my present to his parents I made an angel ornament. It turned out a little bit bigger than I wanted, but other than that I think it's pretty cute. And here are some pictures. (Hmm... Sorry, they're sideways. I did rotate them, so this is just odd.) The body is a square with some batting inside, hemmed and trimmed with lace. The head and body were made by gathering circles and stuffing them with more batting. The arm is a tube, also stuffed and it has a seam sewn in the middle to look sort of hands-ish. The wings are a trapezoid trimmed with wider lace. It's been gathered in the middle and sewn on the back along with the arms. It has a gold rick-rack hanger.
