Perfume

I saw the movie Perfume: The Story of a Murderer last night. It was definitely not what I was expecting. It was good though. I expected a drama, but it turned out to be a black comedy. The main character is a big creep. (He's the murderer, so that works.) And Dustin Hoffman really steals the show in it. I was really liking it, but at the end it got REALLY weird. Seriously, it has the oddest ending I've ever seen. Costume-wise, it was nothing spectacular. It all looked good, but nothing really jumped out at me. Plus, the female lead always seemed to be wearing caracos, never gowns, even at a big formal party. Odd. Overall, it gets 3 1/2 out of 5.

A tiny bit of sewing progress. I'm done all the red ribbon on the seams. Now to get the fake lacing pinned on the front and sew the ribbon on the sides of it as fake seams.

I completely agree with you on Perfume! I really loved it up until the end. It was really creepy all the way through, but the end just was too weird and disturbing for me to really like it.
I liked the costumes, however. Even though it was a bit informal, I just adored her aqua caraco!

I liked the costumes too, but there wasn't much screen time for upper-class females, which would be the sort I like the most. You know how it is. We want to see all the pretty dresses! ;) And I agree, that blue-green fabric was gorgeous!
