I think I found a clue for book 7.

It's concerning the Horcrux locket and the note found inside. I'm now pretty sure R. A. B. is Regulus Black, Sirius' brother. In cleaning out 12 Grimmauld Place they're throwing out lots of stuff from the cabinets. One of which is a LOCKET! If anyone wants to find it in the book, it's in the chapter The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. So either it's in the garbage (because they were throwing stuff out), it's still in the house in the cabinet, Kreacher has it (having saved it from the garbage), or Mundungus has/had it (from stealing it).

I love all these HP mysteries. They're so much fun!
