CoCo 2017: Friday

Before I forget everything, I better finish my recap.
Friday I dressed in my white striped Regency dress. I had a red ribbon in my hair (the one from Snow White) but managed to lose it by the time I got downstairs. My hair is just too slippery! I attended Trystan's "Suffragette Fashions" lecture and Abby Cox's "Finishing Your 18th C. Look" lecture and I took a great muff workshop by the Lady Detalle (even though I had to leave early due to extreme hunger). Buuuut mostly I just hung out and socialized with people. :)
I wasn't the only one in Regency that day. We discovered we all colour coordinated too!

Needless to say, after this I wanted more Regency stuff, like new dresses and more accessories! What you can't see very well in this picture is that I picked up my new necklace from Dames a la Mode and am happily wearing it here. It's olive green and so shiny and sparkly. Love it!
I got ready for the Social pretty early and wandered around looking for people. Ran into a big hat twin! This is Breanna (sp?), whom I met last time. We were both ready to support the campaign for women's suffrage! (Although, we kind of look more ready to go to a women's suffrage garden party or something...)

Ran into some more people and headed outside for pictures.
koshka_the_cat was definitely the most into the women's suffrage theme. She had an outfit with sash for the day and this gorgeous dress for the evening.
llyrafantasyfae was a historically accurate 1960s Pokeball. (Seriously, she saw a picture of this 1960s dress online and it looks just like a Pokeball.) And
girliegirl32786 had on a beautiful riding habit. And, of course, now I want a riding habit. (I do have all the stuff to make one, actually, but still need to make the stays.)

I thought this was a funny picture because everyone was busy. I also didn't get any other group pictures. Most of my pics are more "documenting people's awesome costumes" type pictures.
Amy Lee was photographer-extraordinaire for the weekend. She got this fabulous shot of me that looks like it should be in a magazine or something. If you ever want to look good in photographs, just get Amy Lee to take them. :)

I mean, look at this!

Ok, that's enough, because we don't need that many pictures of me, but yeah, it was really awesome having someone who knows what they're doing taking pictures of me.
Wearing the big hat was a lot of fun. And it made me feel fabulous. And it was a great conversation starter. I really loved this costume. It was so easy to put together and to wear. I think I need more Edwardian in my life. Or at least more huge hats. (They're just a pain for packing.)
I somehow managed to not get any pictures of the suffragette group. Darn! The Social was fun and good times though. Everyone looked amazing, like
starlightmasque and Taylor,

elizabeth_mn and The Lady Detalle (OMG I want something Tudor so bad after seeing Elizabeth's Elizabethan kirtle),

theladyrebecca and
cavalierlady, (And I also NEED a faux Fortuny ensemble like Angela's and Bethany's!)

and all the other people I didn't manage to get picture of or who I took pictures of but am now too lazy to post here.
After the social was the Pink Princess Party and the alternate quiet party. I spent time at both and enjoyed myself. I had some drinks and wore a tiara and hung out on people's beds and didn't take any pictures. It was great!
(Note: Once again, please let me know if you would like me to take down any of my pictures of you. I am totally happy to do so.)
