I really want to make some natural form/bustle stuff next year and was pondering purchasing Fashions of the Gilded Age Vol. 1 by Frances Grimble the other day. Then I realized that I still have a gift card left over from my birthday. So I ordered it! :) It would be neat to have Vol. 1 and 2, but my gift card didn't stretch that far. However, 160 patterns sounds pretty good for a start. I've been interested in this book ever since seeing that
jenthompson used it for her 1880s blue bodice. The public library and my university library have some of Grimble's other books, but not the bustle ones. I'm pretty excited for this to show up soon.
Still have yet to cut out my bridesmaid dress, but I may still get to that tonight. My baby quilt was a big hit. My friend was very happy with it and my other friends want quilts when they have babies, so overall a success. :)
