Doing things
Aug. 3rd, 2011 10:45 amI've been rather busy lately, so the sewing has slowed down a bit. I finished my slip for the most part. I need to get some ribbon for the straps. I cut out the pattern for the matching knickers and need to do the mockup of that.
I went on a very short trip to the United States last week with a friend. We visited an antique mall which was really cool. I bought a gold-coloured brooch. It has three loops with a little clover in the middle where the loops meet. It's pretty cute. And I tried looking up similar brooches and have decided that the 1950s is the most likely decade to date it to (possibly 1940s, but I doubt it). I got some great deals on cheap modern clothes, like 7 t-shirts for $27. And I ate waaay too much food while in the States because it was all so delicious. It was a lot of fun. I'll post pictures of stuff if my camera decides to work again.
