Since I had my third exam today (only one more to go) and have plenty of time before the next, I decided that now was a good time to get back into sewing. So I drafted up an 1940s panelled underslip using the directions from Vintage Sewing Info. I've never drafted anything so complex from scratch before. All my other attempts at drafting things tended had no need to be well-fitted. It was really interesting. The directions were also really clear. I made a few little changes, but nothing major. For tomorrow, I'll either cut out and sew a mock-up, or work on the flounced petticoat some more. And I also wanted to get started on a mock-up of my 1930s jacket. So many projects! I'm trying to get the flounced petticoat done before the end of the month. So far I've been able to get one sewing project done per month, which is pretty good progress for me. I want to speed it up a bit once I'm done school for the summer.
