Sep. 25th, 2008 11:01 amOur horse, Lacey (short for Chantilly Lace), had to be put down yesterday. Several years ago she had hurt both her back legs and was no longer rideable. But she was such a lovely horse with a wonderful personality. And the lady who owned the stables had ridden her too. She had been thrown off another horse and overcame her fears with Lacey. Lately her legs had begun bothering her and she was having trouble getting around the pasture and the lady was worried about possibly having to put her down. The day before yesterday she developed stomach problems and they found out she had cancer in her intestines. So she had to be put to sleep. They buried her in the pasture. We've had her for as long as I can remember. My dad bought her when I was probably still a baby for me. She was a light grey Polish Arabian and was twenty-six years old. I miss her.
