Hello, this is me trying not to go crazy over my Finance assignment. Why yes, I have printed up 15 pages of it so far, and yes, that is also only worth 30 out of the 95 marks. Have I mentioned that this assignment is only worth 5% of my final grade? And that it has taken me about 3 hours to do all this work so far, and there's still all the analyses I have to do? Holy crap! I am going to go crazy. It's futile to try and stop it. This is the most ridiculous assignment yet. Even the mid-term wasn't nearly this bad. It was WAY shorter and worth a LOT more. YAAARRGGGGGGH!!!

Sorry for the rant. Okay, now that that's out of my system...

I have been copying out embroidery patterns from Revolution in Fashion. That entails taking my pencil and paper and looking very closely at the photographs and trying to copy the (often white on white) embroidery (or sometimes lace pattern). I find it nice an relaxing. So far I have done the linen petticoat with silk embroidery (my favourite piece in the whole book, I might add. Although, I guess since it's missing pages, that might not be the most accurate opinion.),  a fichu with cotton crewelwork, a pocket  with blue embroidery, a whitework apron, and the lace engageantes on the cover. I think there's still a few more fichus and maybe engageantes, as well as the gorgeous muslin shawl. I also plan on copying out the embroidery on the men's suits, probably just the jackets as the waistcoats are usually just repeats of the same pattern in different colours. If I get the chance, like access to a scanner or something of that sort, I will definitely share the patterns. I wonder if a digital camera pic would work. Hmm... I am really getting my money's worth out of this book. Especially since I didn't spend any money on it. ;p Up next from the library, I am taking out The Cut of Women's Clothes again. I think there's some patterns I didn't copy out last time that I may be more interested in now. Yay! :)
