Fittings and stuff
Jun. 18th, 2007 10:40 pm I planted some tomato plants today. Unfortunately, the weather got nasty (windy and rainy) and so some of the tomatoes now have broken branches and such. Bah! Also made some yummy chicken soup, which was later converted into chicken noodle soup by the addition of some macaroni.
Fitted my friend's corset and HOORAY IT FITS!!! It looks really pretty. And the gold colour really suits her as she has dirty blond-ish hair. So next is doing all the handwork on that. I would have been doing work on my stays, but I've been sick. I think I have a sinus cold and a sore throat. :p Thus, the only progress is one handsewn eyelet. However, using a knitting needle as an awl, instead of just a nail, really results in a nice-sized, much larger hole. This is good because I found that my other handsewn eyelets were too small and difficult to thread/lace.
