Sewing and books
May. 16th, 2007 08:08 pmI cut out the green jaquard for my stays. With the machine in the shop that's about all I can do. Unless I pull a WWKD and start hand-sewing the buggers, but for stitching that is never going to be seen, it doesn't seem worth the effort.
My friend and I went shopping today. She bought me two books since she lost one that I lent her. So she got me a replacement and an extra book because she felt to bad for losing it. I now re-own The Princess Bride and own The Boleyn Inheritance. I was going to buy TBI myself but she snatched it out of my hands when we reached the cashier. So far it's pretty good, although my favourite is The Constant Princess. The other books were alright, but I found them a little too umm... sensationalist. Sort of cheap thrill type books. However, when you own a few, you just have to get them all.
Lastly, I also got my first paycheck of the summer! Hoorah for pay!
