I've made a start already. I figured I should get something done before I have to go back to school. So, I have begun cutting out my 18th century stays and am about half done cutting out. I've got the lining and interlining mostly cut out of the canvas. I was going to use the selvage as the back edges, but for some reason the selvage curves, so I think I'm going to have to scrap that. So all that's left is to cut out the two back pieces and the straps. I'm not cutting out the fashion fabric until I have the other pieces boned. I decided that I don't want the boning channels to show on the outside, partly because I'm not entirely sure on how even the lines will end up being, partly because I plan on using different sizes of cable ties and thus I think it will look odd if the stitching lines aren't equal, and partly because I think I'm going to half-bone it and I don't really want it to look bumpy on the outside.

Gah! School tomorrow. Luckily I only have three classes this term. (One on Tues/Thurs and two on Mon/Wed. No classes on Fridays is the best concept any faculty has ever come up with in my opinion.)
