More Hallowe'en Social Stuff
Nov. 1st, 2006 06:10 pmNo, not pics, unfortunately. My boyfriend has some on his cell phone, but for some reason he sucks at sending attachements, so I haven't received any yet.
I went to another Hallowe'en social, my friend's cousin's wedding social, on Saturday. We were with a bunch more of our friends and three of the girls there now want me to make them corsets. It's the Corset Revolution, YAY! They all believed me when I said that it was comfortable to wear. Well, one guy asked if it was uncomfortable, but I told him no, and showed him that it wasn't laced tightly at all so it wasn't squishing me, it just looked like it was, and that my waist measurement in it is actually bigger than my natural waist, and it's all just an optical illusion, etc. One of my friends REALLY wants one because I told her that you don't need a bra under it and that lots of umm... larger chested people say corsets are more comfortable than bras. And then my friend continued to talk about how she's needed to wear a bra since 5th grade, and so the idea of not having to wear one is pretty spectacular for her. Others just really liked how it looked. And they're all willing to pay me, which would be nice for the extra cash. We'll see how that goes.
Well that's about it. I have to go study for my Financial Accounting midterm. :P And in sewingland for the rest of this year, I have to finish a jacket for my grandmother for Christmas and make a scarf for my mom for the same holiday. Then it's on to my 18th century stays, which shouldn't be too hard, now that I sort of know what I'm doing. Umm... hopefully piratey pics soon. I'll also take some pictures of the separate garments so you can see the backs. Honest. I promise.
