18th Century Stays

I finally got around to taking some pictures. I don't do it often
because it takes so much effort to download them. I have to climb on
the desk to reach the USB port. In retrospect I prolly should have also
taken pics of the fabric I plan on using, but I forgot, so too late
now. This is mock up #2. There are some uncut cable ties in it and it
is laced up with string. Mostly because string is the most convenient
thing to lace with around my house at the moment. I also didn't want to
start cutting cable ties until I knew exactly what size I wanted them.
Sorry it's so wrinkly. I was getting a bit fed up trying to aim the
camera and with running around for the timer and forgot to pull it
down. So here it is:
Front: I'm going to cut the bottom a little higher and will possibly make the neckline a smidge wider. I haven't decided yet.
Back: Almost even gap. Does anyone know how to make it less narrow at the top of the gap?
I'm so proud of myself. Definitely one of the best things I've made yet.
