Help me spend my money!

Thinking about my future (Canadian) cloud/nubia. I'm figuring I'll need over 1000 yards/metres, probably closer to 1500-2000 knit on needles somewhere between 6-10 probably. And I'm going with a soft white/natural colour. Where I'm having trouble deciding is which yarn I should get. I'm not sure if I want 100% or a blend with silk or cashmere and I'm not sure if I should go with laceweight or cobweb. So help me pick, please! Especially all you historical-knitter-types out there!

Here are the options I found on etsy:
Merino/Silk Lace-weight: https://www.etsy.com/listing/87142153/merinosilk-lace-weight-sock-yarn-natural?ref=shop_home_active_2
Lace Merino Tussah Gossamer Weight: https://www.etsy.com/listing/161847662/lace-merino-tussah-silk-gossamer-weight?ref=shop_home_active_7
Superwash Merino Silk Gossamer Weight (this one is the most expensive, so not sure I wanna go this route): https://www.etsy.com/listing/163822291/lace-sw-merino-silk-undyed-yarngossamer?ref=shop_home_active_14
Supwerwash Merino Lace Weight: https://www.etsy.com/listing/187808912/lace-sw-merino-wool-undyed-lace-yarn?ref=shop_home_active_12
100% Merino Lace Weight: https://www.etsy.com/listing/221023159/natural-white-lace-weight-merino-yarn?ref=shop_home_active_22
Wool-Cashmere Lace Weight: https://www.etsy.com/listing/246239216/natural-white-wool-cashmere-blend-yarn?ref=shop_home_active_17
Cobweb 100% Wool: https://www.etsy.com/listing/253294355/cobweb-snow-white-wool-yarn-haapsalu?ref=shop_home_active_1&ga_search_query=cobweb

I'd go with lace-weight too. And wool. And smooth yarn if your skin is sensitive. Merino's usually pretty yummy :-)

My skin is actually pretty good with wool, which is great because I love wool so much! But yeah, for a delicate thing like this, I want a nicer wool like merino. :) Thanks!

I have HEAPS of a 4 ply faun merino. If you want it, I'll send it to you for the cost of the postage and be glad to see it go to a good home :-)

I know it wasn't the colour you were after, and it is probably heavier too. But hey I thought I'd offer.

I love wool too! I used to be allergic to it as a kid but not as an adult which is great. There's nothing like wool for warmth and comfort. Mmmm!

Thanks for the offer! That's really kind of you. But I think I'm going with a much lighter yarn. Also, I have a big stash of vintage yarn sitting around that I have yet to do anything with because I'm really not much of a knitter. I don't think I could justify adding to it. Sounds really nice though. Thanks again!

LOL no worries. I figured it was worth a mention. Vintage yarn! Never even thought of that, though I know a lot of people use vintage fabric.

I'm not much of a knitter either, hence the offer to you!
