Finished corset and petticoat!

Here are the pictures. :) Wearing the corset and waist petticoat with a modern bra and my Edwardian chemise that I made last year.

Playing with the effects on my camera for fun.

Thanks for sharing this link at the sew along. I'm a little behind over there and still in the fitting stage and your post has helped me a lot in knowing what shape to aim for. Your corset is beautiful. I'm wondering how you constructed the back, and more specifically how long the bones are at the either side of the grommets? Also, how long are the bones at the side back? It looks like there is some flossing way down near the bottom edge where you would be sitting.

Thanks for the lovely comments! I constructed the whole corset as though it was one layer, so the outer pink layer is flatlined with a plain cotton. The centre back has a facing for the bones and grommets. The bones for the centre back and side back are 16 1/2 inches long. (I believe that is also the recommended length for the sew along.) I'm pretty short (only 5ft. tall) so the ends touch the seat when I'm sitting a tiny bit. But that probably wouldn't be a problem with a taller person with a longer torso, since the bones would end before that point on them. And all the bones are flossed except for the ones in centre back. Hope this is helpful! Feel free to ask any other questions you might have. I'm happy to help. :)
